Men Buy Tickets, Smash Case, and Steal Royal Egyptian Diamond Necklace From Vienna Museum

Two men bought tickets to a Vienna MAK exhibition, shattered a display case with a hammer in front of witnesses, and fled with a 200-carat diamond necklace once worn by Queen Consort Nazli of Egypt at her daughter's 1939 wedding. The piece sold at Sotheby's in 2015 for $4.3 million. No one was injured. Police released surveillance images; Austrian media report investigators suspect a contracted gang job.
