USAID's suspension has left Ghana facing an estimated $78.2 million health funding shortfall. In northern Ghana, 75 percent of districts surveyed report vaccine delays or irregular supplies, with cold-chain and transport constraints. Ghana was among the first African countries to introduce the RTS,S malaria vaccine, associated with averting roughly one in eight child deaths among eligible recipients.
