Ubisoft Sold Heroes of Might and Magic III on Steam With No Game Files

Ubisoft released the 1999 strategy classic Heroes of Might and Magic III on Steam for $10 on August 25, 2026, but the download was a 23.4-kilobyte package containing no game files and displayed an error when launched. Ubisoft apologized, saying it "mistakenly released the wrong package." A working build was confirmed the following day.
