First Suspect Arrested in Killing of TikTok Influencer César Gastélum

Mexican authorities arrested the first alleged shooter in the killing of TikTok influencer César Gastélum during an operation in Puebla. One suspect died and two others were detained. Gastélum, who had over 600,000 followers, was shot dead by two helmeted motorcyclists during a live stream in Culiacán, Sinaloa, on August 4, 2026. A CJNG-linked cell leader was separately arrested in the case.
