Australia Bans Fully AI-Generated Tracks from Music Charts and Awards

ARIA has ruled tracks wholly generated by AI ineligible for Australia's music charts and ARIA Awards. Songs using generative AI as a tool remain eligible if "substantially human made" with no stream or chart manipulation concerns. The rules take effect the Friday after the August 25, 2026 announcement. ARIA has not specified a verification mechanism for borderline cases.
