FBI Seizes Domains of China-Backed Botnet That Hacked NASA, Federal Reserve, and U.S. Senate

The FBI seized domains powering a China-backed botnet operated by Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Tech's QTFY group, which sold hacking services to Ministry of State Security hackers. Intrusions dating to 2018 hit NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Senate, and multiple federal departments, with Senate compromise as recent as 2026. The hardcoded-domain seizure rendered the botnet's command-and-control servers inoperable.
