ICE arrested a Navy sailor's father with a valid work permit — then released him 48 hours later with no explanation

Luis Aviles, a Nicaraguan who has lived in the U.S. for 19 years with a valid work permit, was arrested by Border Patrol in Key West on August 23. An immigration judge dismissed his case within hours of booking. DHS and DOJ have not explained either action. His son serves aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, which set a U.S. military record for longest uninterrupted time at sea.
