London bus drivers resume strike after rejecting air-conditioning deal

About 1,500 Arriva North London bus drivers resumed a four-day strike after workers at three of eight garages rejected a deal Unite officials had reached with the company. Drivers question whether air-conditioning upgrades across the 730-bus fleet will be completed by summer 2027. Further stoppages are planned across September and October. In-cab temperatures frequently exceeded 40C during 2026's five heatwaves.
