Pacific Fusion Breaks Ground on $1B Fusion Demo Facility in Albuquerque

Pacific Fusion has broken ground on a $1 billion demonstration facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, targeting net facility gain — producing as much energy as it consumes — by 2030. A commercial power plant is planned for the mid-2030s. Founded in 2023, the startup has raised over $1 billion in a milestone-based Series A. The pulsed magnetic fusion system will generate roughly 100 megajoules per pulse.
