Australia Bans AI-Generated Songs From Music Charts, May Revoke Number-One Awards

Australia's ARIA has banned largely or wholly AI-generated songs from its charts. The new code requires releases to be "substantially human made," with artists declaring AI use at submission. ARIA may retrospectively strip chart positions and demand return of number-one awards. The rules, based on an IFPI directive, follow Sweden's similar ban earlier in 2025.
