Auckland congestion charge options confirmed: $2 to $7 per peak trip

Auckland Council's Transport and Infrastructure Delivery Committee has confirmed three congestion charging options for commuters driving in and out of the city centre during peak times. Charges would range from $2 to $7 per trip depending on the zone — city centre only, city fringe suburbs, or core motorways. Public consultation begins mid-November, with a preferred option not expected until 2027.
