Auckland may charge drivers $2–$7 to use busy roads at peak times

Auckland Council has confirmed three options for charging drivers who use busy roads into and out of the city centre during rush hour. Fees would range from $2 to $7 per trip, depending on which area is included. The public can have their say from mid-November, but a final choice is not expected until 2027.
