NYPD Investigates Video of Three People Emerging From Manhattan Manhole Near Penn Station

The NYPD is investigating a TikTok video showing three people in headlamps and black overalls climbing out of a manhole at 4:19am on August 18, 2026, feet from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. No arrests have been made. The probe follows similar May 2026 sewer videos; authorities have not established a link. DEP spokesperson Rob Wolejsza called sewer entry illegal and extremely dangerous.
