Police Look Into Video of People Popping Out of a Manhattan Street Hole Near Penn Station

Police are checking a TikTok video of three people in headlamps and dark clothes climbing out of a street hole at 4:19am on August 18, 2026, near Penn Station. No one was arrested. Similar videos appeared in May 2026, but police have not connected them. City spokesperson Rob Wolejsza said entering underground pipes is illegal and very dangerous.
