Over 1,286 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Strikes Since Gaza Ceasefire Took Effect

A ceasefire (a formal agreement to halt large-scale military operations) took effect in Gaza in October 2025. Since then, Gaza's Ministry of Health reports at least 1,286 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks — roughly four to five per day. The latest strike, near Maghazi refugee camp on 23 August 2026, killed one and wounded two. These figures point to sustained attrition rather than a durable cessation of hostilities.
