Tropical Storm Moke threatens Hawaii's Big Island with flooding on ground saturated by Hurricane Lala

Tropical Storm Moke is tracking toward Hawaii's southern islands with 5–10 inches of rain forecast for the Big Island through Monday. The NWS warns of life-threatening flooding and mudslides where soil remains saturated from Hurricane Lala days earlier. Governor Josh Green reported Lala already caused at least $43 million in infrastructure and $4.6 million in home damage on the Big Island.
