Myanmar jet bombed monastery twice, striking rescuers during second pass
A fighter jet bombed a Buddhist monastery in Myanmar's Sagaing region on Friday, killing 14 elderly people gathered for a Buddhist Lent meditation retreat. The aircraft then returned to bomb again while rescuers helped survivors, an opposition fighter told AFP. Myanmar's military has not commented. The tactic mirrors documented patterns in the country's civil war since the 2021 coup.
