86% of Britons Blame Climate Change for Heatwaves, But Net Zero Support Has Dropped to 45%

Support for the UK's net zero target fell from 68% in 2024 to 45% in 2026, per More in Common polling, while opposition nearly doubled to 23%. Yet 86% of Britons — including 73% of Reform supporters — say climate change was at least partly responsible for recent heatwaves. Voters increasingly accept the climate is warming but question the policy framework meant to address it.
