Toronto mayoral race set: Chow faces Alexander, Bradford after nominations close

Nominations closed Aug. 21 for Ontario's Oct. 26 municipal elections, finalizing Toronto's mayoral ballot. Incumbent Olivia Chow will face former federal Conservative minister Chris Alexander and city councillor Brad Bradford among other challengers. Former Liberal MP Nate Erskine-Smith is running for council in Beaches–East York. Municipal clerks have until Aug. 24 to certify or reject filed nominations.
