Catholic Schools NSW terminated CEO Dallas McInerney after ICAC alleged he channelled $265,900 in public education funds to Liberal Party factional lobbying firms disguised as consultancy payments. Counsel assisting called his factory reset of a work phone and iPad — done weeks after learning of the inquiry — "a transparent attempt ... to wipe evidence." McInerney denies wrongdoing.
