Former NSW minister tells ICAC she was sacked for resisting pressure to fire building commissioner

Former NSW fair trading minister Eleni Petinos told ICAC's Operation Rosny inquiry on 20 August 2026 that she suspects Premier Dominic Perrottet sacked her in July 2022 because she resisted Liberal Party pressure to dismiss building commissioner David Chandler. Petinos said the premier's brother, Charles Perrottet, told her Chandler was "dodgy." Neither Petinos nor Perrottet is a person of interest. The inquiry continues.
