Home Depot posts $47.9B Q2 sales, beating estimates on repair demand — not remodeling
Home Depot reported Q2 fiscal 2026 sales of $47.9 billion, up 5.7% year-over-year and above the $47.27 billion analysts expected. Comparable sales rose 1.7%. CFO Richard McPhail said customers "continued to engage in smaller projects," confirming that big-ticket remodeling stays muted in a higher-rate environment. Net earnings reached $4.8 billion, or $4.79 per diluted share.
