BHP's confirmed sexual harassment reports hit highest level since 2023

BHP's FY2025-26 annual report, published 18 August 2026, discloses 113 confirmed sexual harassment reports — up from 102 in FY2025 and the highest since 2023. 109 workers lost their jobs or resigned following confirmed cases, which mostly involved indecent touching, stalking, grooming, and sexually aggressive comments. A further 104 reports went uninvestigated. Three class actions targeting BHP, Rio Tinto, and Fortescue remain before Australian courts.
