Supergirl heads to HBO Max on September 10 after $100M-plus theatrical loss

Supergirl will stream on HBO Max from September 10, roughly eleven weeks after its June 26 theatrical opening, Variety reports. The DC film finished its run with $126 million worldwide and lost an estimated $100 million to $120 million. Co-head Peter Safran told the New York Times it fell short of box-office expectations but remains part of DC Studios' long-term strategy.
