Suspended Labour MP Alaba Confirms Covid Loans but Won't Name Companies or Confirm Eligibility

Labour suspended MP Bayo Alaba after The Times questioned pandemic bounceback loans tied to his businesses. Alaba confirmed taking two loans and says he is repaying them, but declined to identify which companies received them or whether they met eligibility criteria. Two 2022 attempts to dissolve his company Alaba Properties Ltd were blocked. He has referred himself to Labour's investigation.
