Qatar Denies Iran's Claim It Is Secretly Detaining Three Downed Pilots

Iran's armed forces urged the ICRC to intervene, alleging Qatar has secretly held three pilots — Javad Salehi, Abdolmajid Dashtian and Omran Behraveshian — incommunicado for six months after their Su-24 bombers were shot down over Qatari airspace in March. Qatar "categorically" denied the claim, saying it recovered only one pilot's remains. Doha remains a mediator between Tehran and Washington.
