Standards inquiry into Farage resumes after Clacton by-election win

Parliamentary Standards Commissioner Daniel Greenberg resumed his investigation into Nigel Farage on 14 August, the day after Farage won the Clacton by-election. The twofold inquiry examines whether Farage failed to declare a £5 million gift from businessman Christopher Harborne and support from convicted fraudster George Cottrell, who provided a London home and paid social media filming. Farage called the probe "being used as a political tool."
