Pixel Watch 5 ships blood pressure and insulin resistance inference validated against clinical standards

Google's Pixel Watch 5, announced August 12, uses sensors and machine learning to track blood pressure patterns and insulin resistance. The blood pressure model was trained on over 1 billion minutes of data from 500,000+ people and validated against 24-hour ambulatory monitors. Google published its insulin resistance research in Nature in March 2026. Starting at $399, available August 20. These are inference-based indicators, not diagnostic measurements.
