Google's new Pixel Watch can estimate blood pressure and insulin resistance

Google's Pixel Watch 5, announced August 12 and available August 20 starting at $399, uses its sensors and software to estimate blood pressure patterns and insulin resistance. The blood pressure feature was checked against clinical monitors worn around the clock. Google published its insulin resistance findings in the journal Nature in March 2026. These are estimates, not medical diagnoses.
