Crowley Wins Wisconsin Democratic Primary, Will Face Trump-Endorsed Tiffany for Open Governor's Seat

Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley won Wisconsin's Democratic gubernatorial primary August 11, 2026, narrowly defeating state Rep. Francesca Hong. Crowley, who suspended then relaunched his campaign with outgoing Gov. Tony Evers' backing, will face Trump-endorsed U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany in November for the open seat. If elected, Crowley would be Wisconsin's first Black governor.
