Bragg's 180,000 migration target left hanging by Coalition colleagues

Shadow housing minister Andrew Bragg used a National Press Club address to stand by a proposed net overseas migration cap of 180,000 per year — well below Treasury's forecast 225,000 by 2027-28. Shadow treasurer Tim Wilson said "I don't think you should bank that at all." Nationals leader Matt Canavan ruled out cuts touching rural workers. Leader Angus Taylor offered only "well below 200,000."
