U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani on August 11, 2026, expanded her injunction to bar the U.S. Postal Service nationwide from carrying out President Trump's executive order limiting mail-in voting. The ruling broadens a June injunction covering 23 states and Washington, D.C. Talwani found the groups suing are likely to prove the order exceeds presidential authority.
