Amazon Ditches Past Stargate Shows for Fresh Reboot on Prime Video

Amazon MGM Studios has ordered a new Stargate series for Prime Video with writer and executive producer Martin Gero. Rather than continue the threads from SG-1, Atlantis, or Universe, the studio is starting from scratch. The move reflects a familiar studio calculation: acquiring an established IP but resetting it entirely gives creative freedom and better positions it for modern audiences.
