
Tech Industry Spends $2.4M Against AI Regulator in New York Primary
A super PAC backed by OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman and venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Joe Lonsdale has spent $2.4 million attacking New York assemblyman Alex Bores ahead of the June 23rd primary. Bores authored some of the first state-level AI regulations. The campaign reflects how quickly the tech industry mobilizes against candidates with regulatory experience as AI governance shifts to the federal level.
