Utah Approves AI Data Center with Military Purpose

Box Elder County has approved the Stratos Project, a 40,000-acre data center backed by investor Kevin O'Leary. It will house both commercial AI computing and military defense operations. The dual-use model, authorized through the Military Installation Development Authority, reflects a federal strategy to build domestic computing capacity for national security while serving AI companies.
