Australia to Confront China at ASEAN Over Missile Test

Foreign Minister Penny Wong will tell ASEAN foreign ministers in the Philippines on July 22, 2026, that Australia and neighbors "will not be bullied" by China. She cites a July 6 nuclear-capable submarine-launched missile test — one announced with too little notice. New Zealand, Tuvalu, and Fiji also condemned it.
