Hanson calls domestic violence a 'two-way street', cops backlash
On Brisbane radio 4BC, Senator Pauline Hanson said domestic violence is "a two-way street" and that "women can lose their cool as well." Brittany Higgins called it victim-blaming, noting 38 women have died in femicide this year. Advocate Tarang Chawla, whose sister was murdered in 2015, called the remarks "terrible advice." The Women's and Girls' Emergency Centre branded them "vile and shameful."
