Microsoft's OEM auto-install framework persists despite user complaints

Microsoft's Hardware Support App framework silently installs OEM software when peripherals connect, with no user notification. Dell's Alienware Command Center and LG's Monitor App Installer both use it. Microsoft's own docs call the behavior "confusing and frustrating." Reports date to 2024; the framework remains unchanged.
