English actor Patrick Stewart died at his Los Angeles home on Wednesday, aged 86, according to an Instagram post. The post said his death followed a brief journey with Alzheimer's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia, both progressive neurodegenerative disorders that damage the brain's nerve cells over time. Stewart played Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
