Patrick Stewart, the English actor, died at his Los Angeles home on Wednesday, aged 86, according to an Instagram post. The post said his death followed a brief illness with Alzheimer's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia, two conditions that slowly damage the brain. Stewart played Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
