Global Oil Stocks Fell 1.9 Million Barrels a Day in Q3, EIA Says

Global oil inventories fell by an average of 1.9 million barrels per day in the third quarter of 2026, the U.S. Energy Information Administration estimates. It projects a further 0.7 million barrel-per-day drop in the fourth quarter. A barrel per day measures flow, so the gap came from stored crude and products. Less stock means less buffer against supply disruptions.
