Russell Brand's wife testifies as character witness at his rape trial

Laura Gallacher, Russell Brand's wife, testified as a character witness at his Southwark Crown Court trial on Thursday, calling him an "amazing husband." Character witnesses speak to what he is like as a person, not to the charges. Brand has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Variety reports jury deliberations could begin as soon as Tuesday, 3 November.
