AI hacking agents breached 100-plus sites for a few thousand dollars

More than 100 websites were breached by largely autonomous AI agents, software that carries out hacking steps with little human input, for a few thousand dollars, according to AI security firm Norforge. A Chinese-speaking operator made about 1,200 attempts against targets in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Japan, with successful intrusions taking about 23 hours from under 100 Chinese characters.
