AI software broke into over 100 websites for a few thousand dollars

More than 100 websites were broken into by AI software working largely alone, like a robot burglar, for a few thousand dollars, according to AI security firm Norforge. A Chinese-speaking operator tried about 1,200 times against targets in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Japan, with successful break-ins taking about 23 hours from instructions shorter than 100 Chinese characters.
