Louvre in Paris closed after student protesters blocked pyramid entrance

The Musée du Louvre in Paris closed on 19 October 2026 after protesters blocked its glass pyramid entrance. France 24 reported the blockade supported a nationwide high school student protest movement. The museum said all reservations for the closure date will be automatically reimbursed. It requires advance reservations for visits from 17 October to 1 November.
