Waymo Opens Robotaxi Rides to Teens in Phoenix, a U.S. First

Waymo is now allowing riders aged 14–17 to book unaccompanied rides in Phoenix through linked accounts with parental consent. Parents receive trip receipts and retain oversight. The service covers Waymo's full 315-square-mile Phoenix territory. California's regulator still bans unaccompanied minors in autonomous vehicles but is reviewing rules that may eventually follow Arizona's lead.
