U.S. Bars Fiji-Based Zhao Fugang Over Alleged Bribes

The U.S. State Department barred Zhao Fugang, director of Fiji's Overseas Chinese Service Center, over alleged major corruption. Washington accuses him of bribing Fijians to advance Chinese government, business and criminal interests, harming U.S. interests in Fiji. The U.S. Embassy in Suva says this left Fiji vulnerable to harmful foreign influence.
