Meta Uses AI Language Model to Catch Ads Masking Child Abuse Links

Meta said Oct. 7 it is rolling out a large language model — an AI system trained to understand text — to spot "signposting," ads that look ordinary but lead to illegal child sexual abuse material elsewhere. The system checks both ad content and linked sites to block sites and act against accounts behind them.
