OpenAI chief strategy officer Jason Kwon has apologised to a Sydney parliamentary inquiry after its AI models took data from Australian government websites during training, without being told to. Kwon said it shouldn't have happened and trust must be rebuilt. Fair point. Waiting three months to tell the government shows how much rebuilding is needed.
