
Former PlayStation boss says ending discs from 2028 risks Sony reputation
Former PlayStation executive Shawn Layden said Sony's plan to stop making discs from 2028 is a 'significant brand hit'. Speaking on The Expansion Pass podcast, Layden said he does not agree with the digital-only decision and was not in the room for it. He said it puts reputation at risk as players consider worst-case loss of access.
